To support for creation of
Infrastructural facilities in various sectors of food processing industries, Govt. of India
have launched the Scheme of Food Processing Park. The main objectives of creating these Park
is to "help establish food processing industrial estates/ park by providing assistance
for common facilities such as analytical and quality control laboratories, cold
storages/modified atmosphere cold storages, warehousing facilities, supplementary pollution
control facilities etc".
Other facilities and concession :-
- State capital subsidy for SSI up to Rs. 5.00 lacs
- Central Capital subsidy up to Rs. 50.00 lacs
- Entry tax exemption up to five years
- ISO-9000 certification cost reimbursement up to Rs. 75000/-
- Project report cost reimbursement upto Rs. 3.00 lacs
- Interest subsidy up to Rs. 40.00 lacs.
In Madhya Pradesh there are 6 food parks sanctioned for the state under this scheme. They are
Jaggakhedi distt. Mandsaur, Nimrani. distt.Khargone Piparia-Babai, distt. Hoshangabad, Borgaon,
distt. Chhindwara, Maneri, distt. Mandla, Malanpur-Ghirongi, distt. Bhind.
